a little about your new favorite LGBTQ photographer, Cassie
Hey. I’m Cassie! I’m an internationally published queer photographer based in Philadelphia, but I’m available anywhere. My pronouns are she/they. I’m a proudly LGBTQ+ friendly photographer and trans affirming photographer. In my 10+ years working as a professional photographer my work has been internationally published in HUSTLER, Faerie Magazine (now Enchanted Living), Archer, Gothesque, Femme Rebelle, Numinous, and more. I’ve won very small awards that I have very big feelings about. I’ve helped hundreds of people see their own unique magic and beauty with empowering photoshoots. The majority of my clients find me via referral from other clients, and I’m extremely proud of that.
When I’m not working (ha, are small business owners ever not working?) I enjoy drawing, writing, printmaking, handcrafting, community service projects, exercise (yes! I’m one of those weirdos!), and cooking. I’ve exhibited paintings in group shows and fundraisers for animal rescues and other nonprofits. I work at a local CSA farm, read, and daydream about muscle cars. I spend a lot of time being an Elder Millennial on Tiktok and taking sunny walks with my large dog.
These are some self-portraits through the years. I’ve posed for myself and hired other photographers in the past, so I have a good understanding of how it feels to be in front of the camera. This helps me offer body-positive pose-coaching and empowering reassurance all the way through a session to have you feeling gorgeous and get great results.
I’ve been challenging myself to keep a behind the scenes boudoir blog since 2024. It includes things like boudoir session spotlights, upcoming themes for affordable boudoir mini sessions, travel notices, and award nominations! Cassandra Panek is an LGBTQ photographer and artist living in suburban Philadelphia and working in the greater Philadelphia region. She’s the owner and artist of Neon Velvet Studio, a boutique boudoir photography studio centering all bodies and their unique beauty and vibes. Come as your most authentic self—she’s excited to help you savor what makes you special, not give you a one-size-fits-all experience. Her priority is working with others in the LGBTQ+ community, but all allies are welcome!
She’s won awards for her photography, but thinks client satisfaction is more important.
